In June 2021, in the midst of worlwide pandemic issue, Mr. & Mrs. De Ocampo plan to establish a local Filipino Food Store, which is famous to all Filipinos, the "Lechon or Litson" house. Mang Lechon's banner product are lechon belly and Lechon Baka which are well-loved by most Filipinos. --Not just ordinary Lechon, but came from the well-known region of the island of the Philippines-Cebu.
Cebu, is a well-known for its best-tasting Lechon, not to mention its mouth-watering and delectable taste the most Filipinos loved. Mr. and Mrs. De Ocampo dreamt of making this available to most Filipinos in affordable and available near every Filipino Family.
But unlike any other stores, Mang Lechon offers very different and inspiring concept by introducing its products associated with Cebu inspired culinary expertise in preparing & making Lechon in the very extra ordinary way. Mang Lechon also offers not-so-much dishes, like Lechon Belly, Lechon Baka, we proudly expound our very own Lechon Sisig and the famous Atsara which is the good pair for Lechon.
The establishment of Mang Lechon is comprised of food-loving passion and dedication to reach Mang Lechon's specialty in every Filipino family's table. Mang Lechon's business model will also be dedicated to help improve most Filipino lives not on just serving high quality and delicious Lechon but also to improve their lives by having their own Mang Lechon's store in their neighborhood.
Served chopped up into bite pieces including the lemongrass and other greens, it was flavorful alright. As you eat more of it, it becomes very salty tho. Was told the lechon is being shipped from cebu so I think they freeze it and microwaved before serving. As such, no crispiness and tenderness. Vinegar is the suggested dipping sauce but I reckon a lechon sauce is still a better complement.
Cebu lechon has always been the best. Nobody can beat it. Actually lived in Cebu for 1 year back in 2014. T'was job related. While I was there, oh boy, I tried every lechon restaurant there is. I cannot believe that you can find it here at Lipa City. But yeah, I love Cebu's original lechon belly!
There is no taste sensation on this earth to duplicate the crunch when you bite into the skin of a well made Lechon. It's somewhat akin to a Peking duck skin but more caramelly, less anise, less orange, just plain crunchy and delicious, AND Cebu's Original Lechon Belly makes the best Lechon Belly (roast pork belly). It's super crispy on the outside yet moist, warm and tender inside.
Suprisingly very affordable price, I really liked their very flavourful and moist spicy litson belly! It was perfect with steaming hot rice and ice cold soda. Glad we saw this place!
